May 2014 Letter from Sam & Janet Grammer

May 2014 Letter from Sam & Janet Grammer

Dear Friends in Christ,

May is the month when we set aside a day for us to recognized our mothers. We had some visitors on this special day this year and one young lady, visiting with her mother, responded to the invitation for salvation while her mother responded to get some things right with God. Later in the day, one of our Dads was able to lead his son to Christ at home. This little guy (first grader) had been showing some real interest and asking questions in his class and when he went to his father with his questions, he accepted God’s gift of salvation. What a privilege to see the Holy Spirit work in hearts and be present at the birth of a new brother or sister in Christ! And what a great way to celebrate motherhood and birth.

This is also the month for graduations. We were asked to speak at a family celebration honoring 2 high school grads. While challenging them to make their lives count for Christ, several of the other people present responded to surrender to God’s control and leading in their lives. We’ve known many of these folks for years and have even taught their parents. These young people need to be bring glory to God with their lives as they prepare to take the leadership roles in their communities, homes and even in their local church.

Our home schooling families are also completing this year’s requirements. We’ve taken a field trip with them to the inside of the Glen Canyon Dam right there in Page, and now planning to take them on a trip to the Grand Canyon. This visit won’t be quite as local as the dam which only required a couple minutes of travel, but is still only about 1½ hrs. away. Should be a fun time – as well as instructive.

Thanks for praying for these families as they have had to make adjustments and sacrifices to accomplish this year’s work, as well as helping their older brothers with their school bills as they attended International Baptist College in Phoenix (and were even room-mates). We’ve been very pleased to watch both young men grow in their love for God and willing to serve Him. Thank you for praying with us for both of them, as well as for their families. Tyler is leaving this week to spend the summer as a counselor at a Bible camp in eastern Arizona and then in Canada as the camp staff relocates for 2 more weeks of camp there.

Daniel is going to be looking for a local job to help pay off his school debt so he can return in the fall. However, he will be taking a couple of weeks off work to join a mission team of 7 members from the College and Church in Phoenix, headed for the Philippines to do some village evangelism. Please pray for his financial needs, both for the trip and for Bible College.

We are also gearing up for our VBS program, as many of you are also doing. Please pray that we have the workers needed and that God will work in the hearts of workers and children alike. It is not unusual to see God work in families through these VBS programs as parents see the lives of their children change when they accept Christ.

Prayer is so very important in our ministry. Thank you to each of you for praying with us over the years. We also appreciate the financial support that helps us meet our obligations in this world. Thank you.

In Christ,

Sam & Janet Grammer
PS. I’ve noticed that our e-mail provider has changed their format and our emails are being designated as “Century Link”. I have included our name in the subject line so that hopefully we won’t have our monthly up-dates deleted because you don’t recognize the sender. I’ll try to do this regularly so that we can keep in touch with you without having to change providers since our prayer cards are printed with this address – and to avoid having you make changes when you want to send messages to us. Let’s hope this

April Update from Brian & Louann Shannon

March – April 2014
Dear Supporting Church Families & Friends,

“…For thou knowest not what a day may bring forth.” (Proverbs 27:1)  Greetings from the quickly warming Sonoran Desert in southern Arizona.  The past few days and months have reminded us of the truths of this verse.  Each day is full of surprises, sometimes exciting, encouraging blessings from our Lord, and sometimes another challenge and opportunity.  We are thankful for all the Lord brings us to, and brings us through!

March and April were filled with many blessings for us and the ministry here.  We were blessed with a great camp meeting that was well attended by our people, our local friends in other churches from the state, and several of our supporting pastors from out of state.  We are very grateful for each message, each song, each service the Lord allowed us to enjoy together.  Many were strengthened in their faith, encouraged to grow, be a witness, etc….  We were also blessed with a visit from my dear friend from high-school, Bobby Goins, his wife Paula, and their daughter Felicity.  They ministered in message, testimonies and song at both churches & Bible club, and were a blessing and encouragement to us all! I’m amazed the Lord would use us, and what a privilege to get to serve Him together for a few days!  We also had the tremendous privilege of having the Brady Rochester Family visit with us during the past month as well!  What a blessing this family was to us. The Lord gave each of us and our children a sweet time of fellowship together.  Of course their singing and Bro. Brady’s preaching at both churches, Bible Club and Nursing Home were a blessing to all.  The Lord provided us an opportunity to meet several new local people as a result of their coming and sharing in song and message with us!  The Lord has truly blessed us abundantly more than we could ever ask or think in so many ways, and one of those ways is in the many wonderful friendships He has given us throughout the years.  We are most thankful for the dearest friend any of us has, our Lord Jesus!

We had our first ever “Sonrise” service this past month in AkChin.  It was well attended, with several visitors coming.  There are some exciting things happening in the “little church in the desert.”  The young faithful couple we’ve mentioned before recently came to me with a great question – “Can we have more of those tracts?  We’ve already handed out all the ones you gave us earlier!”  Continue to pray for our faithful group, who have a desire to see their friends and family saved.  Pray for Alexis, the faithful young girl we’ve mentioned previously, as she fell last week and broke her leg.  She has already mentioned an eagerness to get back to church, and we look forward to her getting back!

Please pray for the other ministries here, where it seems like hindrances are at work.  The Bible Club in Cockleburr has been struggling in attendance lately, with distractions in the village very present.  Also pray for the residents of the Nursing Home.  We were excited to have more opportunity there this year than ever before, but the past few services have been canceled, as a virus has placed the facility on a tight lock-down.  We are praying to be allowed back in by the end of this month, if the Lord wills.  It is easy to become frustrated during these times of “wait” and “stand still,” but we’re thankful to know we serve the One in charge of it all, and it’s a great joy to know that it’s our job to faithfully plant and water, and it is He that is in charge of the increase!

A few prayer requests and praises to end this letter: (1) Please for our dear Pastor Bobby Leonard, who is recovering from a recent heart-attack.  He is so precious to us, and we are thankful for the Lord’s protection through his ordeal.  We appreciate your prayers for his continued healing, for his family, and our dear home church family! (2) Our 5th annual day camp is less than 8 weeks away now.  There is much preparation & expense that goes into the camp, and we certainly desire His hand & blessing on it!  (3) We are very grateful to have celebrated Rebecca’s 9th birthday in April!  Please continue to remember our family & the dear people here on the reservation in your prayers!  (4) Nizhoni, a 10 year old girl, accepted Jesus as her Savior!  Please pray for her and her family.

Working together with you for HIM,

Brian & Louann Shannon & family

Baucom’s April 2014 Letter

Dear Pastor & Church,

Good News! Our son-in-law, Pat has accepted the Lord as his Saviour. This means so much to The Baucom family and our Church here as well. Pat has been a blessing to all of us. It surely is a shot in the arm, especially in this long, cold and dark winter. They both have been a blessing to our Church. Melissa has started playing the organ and singing specials. We will be baptizing Pat as soon as the weather breaks. What a joy to have someone that has been saved and wants to follow the Lord in Believers baptism. Pat comes from a family of Catholics and was so afraid and skeptical to loose his Catholic teachings for so long. But through prayer and patience the Lord convinced Pat to come.

Our attendance had dropped off some due to the harsh winter and sickness. But business has started to pick up due to better weather and Spring in the air. Just this past Sunday we had 39 in attendance. Elaine is still faithful with the Academy. That too has taken it’s toll with sick children.

And, And, And,…. let me tell you about our first grandbaby! It is due to arrive on September 5, Lord Willing, to Mary & Derek Ingle who live ten thousand miles away from us. Just kidding. They live in Arkansas; that seems like 10,000 miles away. ☹ A further note concerning our son John. He was in a wreck which totaled his car. A lady was not paying attention and slammed into him from the rear. He’s ok, but shaken somewhat. We are so excited about the movement the Lord has taken in his life. Thank you for praying. Please don’t forget him.

Well, not much more we can comment on except it’s been the coldest winter we have had here in our past 26 years. And it’s still cold today in April! I sure hope someone invites us down south to visit their sunny Church. We would love it. ☺ Again, we say “Thank You” for your love and continued support for the Baucom Family. The Lord miraculously supplies our needs through friends, loved ones and Churches like you.

Praise the Lord! Thank you so kindly.

April 2014 Update from Sam & Janet Grammer

April 2014
Dear Friends in Christ,

We’ve been hearing about the harsh winter and snow along the east coast, while we had a very dry winter.  I think you took our snow.  Living in a desert, we rely on the winter snows for much of our water supply.  With no snow during the first few months of the year, we weren’t overly dismayed with a snow in late April!  The forests are often closed in the spring because of fire danger, but this year, they have closed early.

Each Easter, we have a dinner at the church.  This year, following the meal, we had a Seder, or Jewish Passover demonstration.  This was presented by a missionary couple that minister to Jewish people, Ron & Pat Draper.  What a good reminder of Jesus, the Messiah, our Saviour.

Please remember our students as the school year will soon be over; only 3 more weeks.  Pray for the home schooling families as they try to finish off all their requirements for the year.  And don’t forget our Bible School students,  Daniel and Tyler, as they have papers due and final exams ahead.

When we pray for our Bible School students, we pray for the 2 young man from our church in Page, 2 of our grandsons, 1 grand daughter and several others that we know from our mission family and friends.  It is encouraging to us to see the next generation training and preparing to serve God.  But we are fully aware that this is not pleasing to the enemy and he’d like to stop them or distract them.  So we keep them in our prayers.

Also pray for the summer ministries that our young people will be involved in; camps and mission trips…  more opportunities to prepare and serve at the same time.  We are praying that souls will be won to Christ this summer as the marvelous message of salvation in Christ is proclaimed.

Many of you have been behind us with prayers and financial support for years.  We truly appreciate your faithfulness and recognize your partnership in our ministry.  Thank you.

In Christ,

Sam & Janet Grammer

March 2014 Update from the Veldhuis family

Veldhuis April 2014 Prayer Letter

Dear Prayer Partners in Christ,

Three Cocopah deaths, record numbers of prison Bible studies, and serious family health problems since our December letter multiplied the demands of Native labors and made your faithfulness that much more precious. [“…we had the sentence of death in ourselves that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead; who delivered us from so great a death and doth deliver…ye also helping together by prayer for us…”] (I Cor. 1:9-11)

Words cannot tell the unexpressed gratitude we owe our Lord and each of you for protection and provisions through life-threatening health crises for Dawn and Lydia. We apologize at how many precious gifts we failed to recognize in recent months, but assure you time has only endeared what overwhelming loads obscured.

Your December sacrifices enabled us to get the life-transforming gospel to more Cocopah and detainees than ever before-some for the last time. Adrian, Angel, Chris, Javier, and Rodrigo made wonderful professions of faith before disappearing in our penal system. PRAY we’ll soon add these men to weekly Bible studies with growing detainees, Bobby, Jesse, Jovanny, Mikhail, Ricky L., and Victor.

Other Cocopah heard the call to repentance and faith and passed into eternity without clear professions of faith. Sixty-two, fifty-eight, and twenty-four year olds Douglas, Irene, and Clarissa died January and February-all from years of substance abuse. PRAY for repentance and comfort of the Hayes, Sharkey, Thomas, and White families as even Clarissa’s professing Christian sisters turned to alcohol for solace. PRAY for their mother Alfreda and other adults such as Amanda, George, Millie, and Shirley’s conversions.

BLESS Him for protecting Dawn from permanent harm or injuries driving while we reigned in sugar levels near 500, severe weakness, and unexplained muscle wasting from runaway diabetes. Insulin injections and drastic diet changes normalized her sugar levels in weeks, but dangerously aggravated the edema associated with her vasculitis. PRAY for wisdom distinguishing and treating the relevant contributions of asthma, diabetes, and vasculitis to Dawn’s severe weakness and extreme edema.

PRAY that Yuma work ups of Lydia’s C.O.P.D., reactive airway disease, and pulmonary hypertension will permit an accurate annual assessment and treatment plan of her progressive lung disease. Phoenix pulmonologists and lung transplant specialists will make final decisions regarding her care in May.

PRAISES:

· Successful Tea Party and Ladies’ Bible study 3/29/14 for saved or otherwise unreached women.

· Major repairs on our largest bus.

· Detention center conversions and weekly Bible studies.

· Ability to restock dwindling Bible studies and tracts.

· All of Dawn’s recent medical bills will be paid by our reinstated low income medical insurance.

· Ricky S.’s full commitment to the Lord and superb witness to family and friends.

PRAYERS:

· Lydia’s current flu and pressing respiratory and dental needs.

· Dawn’s ongoing health needs and recovery of strength.

· Revival meetings at Maranatha Baptist Church, April 13-19, 2014.

· Michael’s deputation trip as far as Ohio and Florida April 13- mid May.

· The Hendersons, Dawn, Lydia, Silas, and Bro. Jason carrying on main ministries while Michael is away.

· Preparations and provisions for Neighborhood Bible Time, July 2014 and Christian camp later in the summer.

Sincerely in Christ,

Michael, Dawn, Lydia and Silas Veldhuis

April 2014 Letter from David and Becky DeFord

Dear Prayer Partners,

In February we were able to visit with Gary and Beverly Messick at Living Waters Baptist Church. It was so good to see Gary much improved health wise and to visit with their church family briefly. Their new building is progressing. It will be such a blessing to this church family to have the new facilities finished and in use.

The Ladies Bible study at Ferguson Memorial continues to be a blessing. Attendance has maintained steady and it is such a joy to hear the ladies’ comments about Job’s trials at the ’ash pile’, then relate the study to their own personal lives. Applying Scripture to everyday life is more than reading and studying, they are learning it is doing.

March was filled with traveling. It was a blessing to fill in for Steve and Sherry while they took some well deserved time for Spring Break. The Hualapai Baptist Church is a very loving and caring church family. They are truly a blessing. We were able to attend Thursday and Friday nights of their revival services with the Adrian Burden family. David preached the next Sunday a.m. and p.m. and the following Wednesday night. Sherry invited Becky to go with her and another lady from the church to the Tribal jail on Friday. Two in-mates were there that evening. After the devotion was given from Daniel 1:8 around the theme of “Making Wise Choices”, one of the ladies asked the Lord to save her and to help her make wise choices in her life. Please pray for Piceeta Walema as she is released and returns to her family. Pray she will have a real desire to attend church and grow. She faces many obstacles and temptations.

While at Peach Springs David had opportunity to attend the Men’s Conference at Bill Rice West Branch with Steve and the men from Hualapai Baptist. Following the conference Evangelist Bill Rice III and his wife, Mary spent the weekend with Steve and Sherry. We all had a good visit together.

Please remember to keep Pastor Steve Fox and Treasa in prayer. His voice is weak, although he is able to preach short messages along with Neil Price who has been voted as Associate Pastor.

Prayer Requests: Neighbors, Pastor Steve Fox, Gilson Wash Baptist Church, Baptist Indian Chapel, Travel in April and May (from one end of the state to the other) new Christian Piceeta Walema.

Praises: Safety and continuing good health, Opportunities to preach and witness

In His love and ours, David and Becky

March 2014 Letter from Sam & Janet Grammer

March 2014

Dear Friends in Christ,

This past winter has been a very dry one for us. I think the winds have blown it all eastward as we are hearing of extra snowfalls along the east coast. This brings us into a dry spring with wildfire dangers running high. How thankful we are that God is in control of even the weather and we can trust Him for our safety.

For some time now, we have been dealing with a leaking roof at both the front and the back entrances of the church. These leaks have been serious enough to start to destroy the inside walls in the entrance ways. We’ve tried patching and re-sealing, but what was needed was to just replace the roofs over the entry ways. This month, the men took a few days and began the task. We now have new roofing over the back entry, which was the more severe. The sheet rock inside was also replaced but still needs the trim and painting to be completely finished. They had hoped to get them both done during the few days that were available, but found it more of a challenge than first thought. The front entrance still needs to be re-done, and then we will be ready for the annual rainy season in the desert. We are so thankful for men who knew what to do to repair this problem and were willing to take so much of their personal time to do it.

Thank you to those of you who have been praying with us for Keanu (pronounced “Key-ah-new“), who broke his wrist last month. He appears to be healing well and now has his cast off, wearing only a brace. It will still be a few more weeks before we’ll try to return to his piano lessons though.

This month, Keanu’s sister, Aaliyah (pronounced-“Ah-Leah“) broke her toe, so is now walking in a special boot. Keanu and his sister are home schooling for the first time this year. Both of our home-schooling families, the Hendersons and the Winlocks, each have an older son attending Bible College. It is so encouraging to see parents that are doing all they can to help their children grow in their knowledge of our Lord and use their lives to bring God glory. It is not easy and Satan is still the enemy of God’s children, especially when they want to serve Him. Please pray with us for these homes. Those of you that are involved in training your children at home, are very aware of the challenges and know more specifically how to be praying for them.

In Christ,

Jan/Feb 2014 Letter from Brian & Louann Shannon

January – February 2014

Dear Supporting Church Families & Friends,

“How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God!” (Ps36:7a) Greetings from the Tohono O’Odham Nation. We have had such a great start to the new year, and are continually amazed by, and thankful for His excellent lovingkindness.

January brought our annual “Bible Reader’s Supper,” going to eat with 7 people who read their Bibles from cover to cover in 2013. May we all be faithful students of His Word throughout this year! I’ve never regretted one minute of time spent reading His Word! May our personal prayer and Bible reading times be of utmost importance to all of us this year!

We were blessed to have a visit from Evangelist Glen Jaspers and his dear wife Mary for several different services. Bro. Glen does such a great job of preaching, and Mrs. Mary always works with the kids, teaching stories and songs. They also travel to several other reservation ministries in AZ, preaching and doing some physical work as well. What a blessing they have been to the Independent Baptist Mission Inc in general, and to our family specifically. We thank God for such great friends!

The Bible Clubs in Cockleburr continue to be well attended. We recently completed a long series on the 10 Commandments, with many of the children having them memorized, and able to make application in their own lives! Thank you for your continued prayers for the Bible Club ministry in this village.

The Nursing Home ministry is also such a blessing. Before one recent service, one of the residents began singing aloud one of the hymns we generally sing together (our first “special” sung by a resident)! We are excited for the increased opportunities to serve there this year, having received permission to have more than the 12 services per year we’ve been having! Thank you for your prayers for this ministry as well!

The people of the AkChin church seem to be growing in desire and heart for the Lord, and we are so thankful for this. Several are like sponges, soaking up everything the Lord has for them, asking questions after church, etc…! The messages lately have focused on having a personal burden for lost individuals, friends and family. Each person in the church has asked the Lord for an overwhelming burden to see at least one specific person saved. Pray for their continued growth, and for other souls to be saved as well. We’ve had several visitors lately, and are praying they return and allow the Lord to meet their need!

To encourage Christian fellowship and growth, we have scheduled “family fun night” for one Friday every month this year for the church family to get together and play games, snack and enjoy each other’s company. The first two have been well attended and enjoyed by all. We pray an even closer bond to each other the Lord will result!

Our family was especially blessed and privileged to take part in two missions conferences during the month of February. What a great time of preaching, meeting other missionaries, and spending time with dear pastor friends and their church families. We are very grateful for how the Lord sends just the right people by at just the right time in our lives, and for the friendships He blesses us with!

“Saving the best for the last,” we are thrilled to tell of three pre-teen young people who accepted Christ as their Savior during the past two months. It is always exciting to see the increase after a season of planting and watering! Pray for Alma, Michaela and SarahAnn!

Our family remains continually blessed and eternally grateful for all the Lord does for us! Thank you too, so much, for your faithful prayers and support!

Working together with you for HIM,

Brian & Louann Shannon & family

February 2014 Update from Grammer’s

February 2014

Dear Friends in Christ,

This month has been a busy month, but nothing exciting to write about. We’ve been staying busy with studying and preparation and ministering God’s Word. Please pray for us to be doing exactly what God plans and purposes for our lives.

We did have an answer to prayer during February, as one of our young boys (10 yrs old) hurt himself while riding a scooter. He broke two bones by his wrist and dislocated the wrist. The concern was the “growth plate” in his wrist, but right now it looks like all is going to heal up well. Please continue to pray with us for Keanu for complete healing in this wrist. (Keanu is also one of Janet’s piano students, so obviously we are taking a break in our lessons for a few weeks.)

Over a year ago, one of our ladies asked that Janet visit her sister-in-law in the hospital. As the Gospel message was shared, Sally became a sister in Christ! This past month, Sally went Home to the Lord and we were able to take part in her funeral. One of our former Bible School students that now pastors in the community that Sally lived, preached the funeral service and the entire family heard the message of salvation. During the graveside service, Sam again gave the salvation message and 3 responded that they wanted this gift from God! Sally’s family are not Christians but follow native beliefs, so this was a blessing that they agreed to a Christian funeral service. It is always a good reminder to us that death is awaiting each of us and we need to be diligently serving the Lord and sharing the Gospel message. We are so glad that Sally is now with the Lord and pray that her family might still be thinking about the truths that they heard and come to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

In Christ,

Sam & Janet Grammer

Feb 2014 Newsletter from Steve and Sherry DeFord

Dear Praying Friends,

We are amazed to think we are already into March. February was a good month for us here in Arizona. The church, family, and mission are all doing well.

Several of our families from church attended the annual Marriage and Family conference Bill Rice Ranch West Branch sponsored in Phoenix. We have had a very good turn out the past few years for this event. And this year was no different. We all enjoy staying together in a local hotel and the preaching is always a blessing! Sherry and Laurie began a new jail ministry in the local Peach Springs jail. They had three ladies in attendance their first time together on February 21. Steve took Micah and two of our men to the West Branch camp site to do a drywall project the last weekend of the month. Raynard is a drywall hanger and he led the project. Cleve serves our church as a deacon and is a great worker. The four men were able to finish the project and a little extra work for which the Ranch seemed to be extremely grateful. West Branch is one of the ministries our congregation supports through our missions program.

The kids that are still home are making good progress on their schooling. Molly and Micah are both looking forward to graduating this spring. Manny is doing well in college and is looking forward to traveling in an ensemble this summer.

We keep hearing good reports from all our member missionaries within the Independent Baptist Indian Mission. If you are not familiar with the ministry of the mission, I encourage you to visit our website and read the reports from the other men. The address is www.ibimi.com with links to each family and their respective ministry.

Thank you for your support of our family and the ministry among the Hualapai. May our Lord continue to bless you as you faithfully serve Him!

For God’s Glory,

The Steve De Ford family

Steve & Sherry DeFord’s

Phil. 4:17b …I desire fruit that may abound to your account.

Dear Friends,

Thank you all so much for your generosity this past month. God has been both gracious and generous toward us. Not only is our finical need continually met, but God blessed us with His continual presence, comfort, and empowerment.

After some wonderful family time, we again said good-bye to our son Immanuel who is back at college. We enjoyed every minute with Manny while he was home, knowing that we would not get him back till August. We are excited for him to have made a traveling ensemble for the summer, but will miss his smile, singing, and humor for several months. While he was home, we got word from the college that he had made the Dean’s list for first semester! He is adjusting very well, and we couldn’t be more pleased.

Our daughter, Jackie, called us January 18 to inform us that we would be grandparents again. However, by the afternoon of the 20th she lost her second pregnancy in as many months. We were all heartbroken and thank you for the many prayers you said on our behalf. Our dear folks here at Hualapai Baptist Church paid for Sherry to fly back to North Carolina to be with Jackie while she recovers from emergency surgery. We have been overwhelmed to see God work in our behalf. In the middle of lost, He has given great peace. We can only praise Him for all His goodness. Our little grandson, Nathan, is more precious to us than ever! Please keep Jon and Jackie in your prayers as they continue to grieve and trust God with their future.

The church continues to be a blessing to us. Steve began Institute classes again this semester. This year we have five of our men studying Bible Doctrines. They have gotten off to a good start, and Steve is encouraged by their eagerness to learn. Our home-school co-op families have been doing most of their educating at home rather than at the church this year. This has allowed Steve to help Sherry teach the kindergarten and first grade. We have enjoyed spending our days together in the ministry.

Molly, Micah, and Josh are progressing well in school, too. To say our children are a blessing seems too simplistic. We are thankful for each of them and the work they put forth in the ministry.

Continue to pray that souls would be saved, Christians discipled, and fruit would abound…to your account!

For God’s Glory,

The Steve De Ford family

Dave & Becky DeFord’s February 2014

Dear Prayer Partners,

We’ve much to praise the Lord for as no doubt you have as well. We want to share some of our bless-ings with you this month. We were blessed to receive many cards, calls and monetary gifts during the Christmas season. We attempted to send individual ‘thank you’ notes, but realize we could have inadvert-ently missed someone. Please accept our gratefulness for each one who sent gifts to us as well as calls and cards.

Another blessing we’ve received is the answer to your prayers as well as ours for the Bible study with the ladies at Ferguson Memorial. Attendance has been great as well as interaction with the ladies. We’ve aver-aged eleven each month and are increasingly aware of the growth in the ladies spiritually as the study is focused on personal trials as we look at the book of Job. Please continue praying for these ladies, two of whom were not always faithful in church services.

Dr. Glen and Mary Jaspers have visited with several of the IBIMI churches in January and continue into February. They are always received well and are continually an encouragement to the church families as well as the missionary families. Pray with us for their safety in travels from one end of the state to the other as well as their health.

We praise the Lord for continued strength and health for us both. It is a wonderful experience to be able to serve the Lord especially as we witness the condition of man’s attitude toward God, Christian principals, morality and God’s Word. Please continue to pray the Lord will use us as testimonies in our neighborhood, and on the reservations.

We praise the Lord for you, our faithful friends and prayer partners and those who stand with us finan-cially. Many have stood beside us for thirty five years plus. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

Prayer Requests: Neighbors, unnamed for privacy reasons

Praises: Financial provision, faithfulness of ladies in Bible study, health and safety for us both.

In His love and ours, Dave and Becky
