Dear Friends In Christ,
Here is an update on the building project:
We have been able to raise $9,280! Praise the Lord!! We can see the Lord at work and we are excited! This week, we were able to hire an independent building inspector to look at the building before we go further with our offer to purchase. He mentioned that the structure of the building is good, but that one part of the building needs another 4 ton AC unit and possibly some insulation. This means that a little work needs to get done before we have our grand opening. Our first priority is to purchase the property. Every Saturday night, we will be giving an update on what has been given during the week and how close we are to our goal. Thank you all who have given financially and are praying for us!
Feel free to share this with your friends. Thank you!

Intro…
As some of you know, we are currently working with the Cocopah Native Americans. Our goal was to have a church started in Winterhaven, CA bordering the Quechan reservation in October 2020. We want to reach Winterhaven,CA and the Quechan reservation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Winterhaven, CA and the reservation combined have a population of between 5,000 to 10,000. The Quechan Tribe are very traditional. The elemental Quechan beliefs involve a spiritual power derived from special dreams and a continuing interaction with souls of the dead. It is our job to introduce to them the true and living God.   Lord willing, our goal is to have the grand opening of New Haven Baptist Church on February 14, 2021. However, we do not have a location in which to meet. The building shown below is owned by an independent Church of Christ. In March of this year, I (Brother Jacob) was in Winterhaven looking at the cost of renting a building for the future church plant in the area. I came upon this church building and asked the members how much they would charge for us to rent it once a week. They said they are not interested in renting it out, but they were interested in selling the building to a church. In June, I asked if 60,000 would be a fair amount. They dropped the price to $40,000 and now they dropped the price to  $35,000. The Church of Christ only has 3 members at their church. We are asking churches to help us in purchasing this building. If 100 churches give $370 each, we would be able to raise the funds. If 200 churches give $185 each, we would be able to raise the funds. If you would like to give, you could make the check out to New Haven Baptist Church and send by mail: 513 East Country Club Drive Apt D, Yuma, AZ 85365 or through PayPal [email protected] We appreciate your prayers and your sacrificial giving!Sincerely,
The Jones Family Missionaries to the Native Americans
