Grammer October-November 2020

Dear Friends in Christ,
In just the past couple of weeks, we have slowly seen some of the reservations opening up so that our missionaries and pastors can resume Sunday services.  However, the Navajo Reservation, which is closest to us, is still enforcing daily curfews and week-end lock-downs.  Between the curfews and lock-downs, the residents are free to travel to town for business and supplies.  Many of them stop by for saddle & leather work, counseling and just for a visit.  This has given us many opportunities to talk about our Lord and give the Gospel message.  Pray with us to use these opportunities and for the Holy Spirit to work in hearts, for He knows each need far better than we do.
We are still waiting for the Dine Bible Institute to begin classes once again.  Maybe in the spring semester…?  Pray with us.  We know the Lord’s timing isn’t always ours and we are trying to be patient.  We do still have contact with various students and they seem eager to get back to their studies.
We are both doing well and God has seen fit to keep us safe from the COVID virus so far.  We do try to be wise but still not let it dictate our lives.  Please continue to pray with us for good health.
This past week-end, Sam was able to preach at a local church here in Flagstaff as the pastor was away.  It was good to be used this way once again in spite of the present conditions.  We miss the opportunities to serve in this manner, but trusting God to use us as He sees best.
We plan to spend some time with our family in the east during the month of November for our annual family Thanksgiving gathering.  Pray with us for safety as we travel.  We look forward to this time each year with kids, grandkids and great-grandkids and thankful that God has given us this special time each year.  Notice that this letter is for both October and November as we travel.  We will try to catch up with you again in December, so don’t be concerned or feel forgotten next month.
Thank you so much for your faithful prayers and support.  God has met all our needs and we appreciate your willingness to be used by Him.

II Cor. 2:11 “Ye also helping together by prayer for us.”
In Christ,
