Grammer’s Feb 2015

Dear Friends in Christ,

We are sending this letter a couple of weeks late for a reason.  In mid-March, we will be driving back to the east coast for Sam’s mother’s memorial service. We also plan to visit a few of our supporting churches before returning to Arizona.  Since we will be on the road for a few weeks, the next letter that we send out will probably not be until the month of May.  We are hoping that the storms that have been hard on the east coast will have settled down and winter weather will not be a problem for the roads that we will be using.
Please do pray for us as we travel:

1-for safety
2-for good meetings
3- for Sam as he speaks at his mother’s service.

We were excited during the month of February to hear of an increase to our family!  On Feb 8, our 16th grandchild was born, Peter Charles Grammer (Parents-Sam and Amber).  Then 10 days later, on Feb 18, our second great-grandchild was born, Oliver Leonard Holton (Parents-Levi and Chelsea Holton/grandparents- our  daughter Faith& Andrew Holton).
We were also informed of a marriage being planned in August of one of our grand-daughters, but we’ll give her some time to share her own news before we give her name.  (I suspect that she has already done this, as she seems pretty excited about it.)

The past few weeks, we have found ourselves keeping quite busy.  We’ve had several visitors at the house.  While we were in Page, we were gone from our home so much that we had few visitors, but I think the news has gotten out that the Grammers are home again.

Sam has kept busy studying.  There have been many opportunities to preach and teach God’s Word, as well as help church leaders with counsel and encouragement.  The next couple of weeks, we will be helping a church that is presently without a pastor.  There seem to be more pulpits in need of pastors than men willing to fill them; men with serving hearts.  Pray with us that the Lord “will send more laborers into the harvest.” (Matt 9:37-38)
Plans are also being made for a trip to Alaska again this summer to make more progress on the building for the radio station.

Thank you for your prayers and Christmas gifts sent last month, along with your regular financial support.

In Christ,
Sam & Janet Grammer

P.S.- I’ve noticed that our e-mail provider has changed their format and our emails are being designated as “Century Link”.  I  have included our name in the subject line so that hopefully we won’t have our monthly up-dates deleted because you don’t recognize the sender.  I’ll try to do this regularly so that we can keep in touch with you without having to change providers, since our prayer cards are printed with this address – and to avoid having you make changes when you want to send messages to us.
