Update from Grammer’s July 2014

June & July 2014
Dear Friends in Christ,

Did you notice that we are writing for 2 months this time? The schedule will have us traveling most of July and August and away from our desk. Please pray with us for safe travels.

As we write this, our young people are on the road to Jr. Camp in eastern AZ at Grand View Camp. This camp is run a by family that once served with our mission among the Navajo people until they left to start this camp. The kids have been going here for a few years now and we’ve been very pleased with their ministry. The responses of our campers have been great-both in the fun they have, and in the spiritual decisions that are made. One of our own Bible School men (Tyler) is using his summer to serve there as a counselor and trusting the Lord to meet his financial needs for this coming year’s school bill.

July 14-18 is scheduled for our VBS this year. Our theme is International Spy Academy as we teach the “agents in training” to be able to identify counterfeits to the One True God.

The day that we start our VBS is also the day that our other Bible School student (Daniel) leaves for a 2 week mission trip in the Philippines with a group from his Bible School, International Baptist College in Chandler, AZ.

After our VBS program, we will be leaving on a trip to visit 4 different churches; 2 are presently supporting churches and 2 are new churches to us. We will then be ending the trip with a visit with the missionaries under our board, Independent Baptist Indian Missions, for our annual Mission Conference. This year we are scheduled to be in Iowa.

A week after returning to AZ, Sam and some men will be taking a week to travel to Alaska to do some more work for the Radio Station in Thorne Bay. Each summer we see a little more progress on the property so that we have a building to house the ministry.

As you can see- a busy summer is planned for us. Please be praying with us for each opportunity that the Lord has provided for us to serve Him. We realize how important you are in our ministry and thank you.

In Christ,
Sam & Janet Grammer

P.S.- I’ve noticed that our e-mail provider has changed their format and our emails are being designated as “Century Link”. I have included our name in the subject line so that hopefully we won’t have our monthly up-dates deleted because you don’t recognize the sender. I’ll try to do this regularly so that we can keep in touch with you without having to change providers, since our prayer cards are printed with this address – and to avoid having you make changes when you want to send messages to us. Let’s hope this works.
