February-April 2026
Boozhoo (Ojibwe for “Hello”),
Weather
The last few months, things have been pretty slow for us up in northwest Minnesota. Winter weather seemed to linger this year with negative-degree temperatures and blizzard conditions. Easter weekend we had a foot of snowfall, but praise the Lord it stopped early enough for roads to be cleared off to have service on Sunday. As we are finally moving into spring weather, more people are out and about, so we are looking forward to more opportunities to talk to people.
Church Services
We continue to pick up a family of three brothers and a sister for Family Sunday School each week. Their faithfulness each week is an encouragement. Recently, I have been spending quite a bit of time in Family Sunday School teaching on the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ in the gospels. The children have an understanding of what Jesus has done but have not depended on Jesus to save them yet. The sister has made it clear to her siblings that they believe in their tribal god and not our God. We are thankful for their faithfulness, but we desire to see them trust Jesus as their personal Savior.
In our Sunday morning preaching service, the Lord has led me to preach on a series of messages from Genesis 1-11. Almost every Sunday I have been preaching to my family and on livestream. Sundays have always been a struggle to get people to come to the preaching service. Pray that we will be able to reach people in the community with the gospel and that they will be present for the preaching of God’s Word.
Church Building
We recently had some plumbing issues at the church building. It was discovered that a pipe had burst three feet underground outside of the church building. After excavating, fifteen feet of pipe was replaced. Praise the Lord, everything is working properly now!
Family
Keep our family in prayer as we do outreach and soul-winning together. Thank you for all the birthday cards that were sent to us. Aliza, Annie, my wife, and I celebrated birthdays between February and April.
