Boozhoo (Ojibwe for “Hello”),

Family Sunday School
In our last letter, I mentioned that some of the children from VBS expressed interest in coming to church on Sundays.  We began a van route using our family’s 12-passenger van and we started a Family Sunday School hour. Since Family Sunday School began, we have had 17 children and 2 adults from the reservation in attendance with an average of about 6!
Our goal for Family Sunday School is to bring families together and teach them the Bible. Ojibwe children grow up learning their tribal, unbiblical creation and flood stories so I am currently teaching Genesis chapters 1-11 and preaching the gospel message in each lesson. We are praying that these young ones will receive Christ as their Savior and believe the supreme authority of the Bible.
Family Sunday School has brought excitement to our ministry. Pray that the children will continue to be consistent in coming and that more of their families will come. Pray for souls to be saved! Pray for the Lord send more laborers to help us in the ministry.  My wife does the van route every Sunday morning. After Family Sunday School, she loads up the van again and takes the children home while I conduct the preaching service with adults and my own young children. This is one of the many reasons I ask you to pray for the Lord to work in the heart of someone to help us in the ministry. Our current situation puts us in a position to not be able pick up anyone else due to the lack of help. We would greatly appreciate your prayers!

Traveling
In August our family got to go to the Navajo Reservation in Arizona for the Navajoland Baptist Revival. My wife and I also celebrated our 9th wedding anniversary in Navajoland. It was a busy, very refreshing time! While we were there, we were also able to go out soul-winning with a couple of Navajo churches that support us. We got to hear powerful preaching and fellowshipped with many of our Navajo friends and mentors and our children got to be part of a children’s tent meeting each night! Many Natives surrendered to the Lord and some were saved during the revival meeting! Jesus is on the move among native people. We are praying for the Lord to move among the Ojibwe as well. On our way home, we had the privilege of updating two Navajo supporting churches as well as a supporting church in Colorado.  We are abundantly grateful to all of those who ministered to us during our travels this August!

Mii-gwech (Ojibwe for “Thank you”) for your faithfulness in prayer and financial support! May fruit abound to your account.
