DeFord Oct/Nov 2025

Dear Friends,

We are grateful for each one of you and your faithfulness throughout the years. Like the Apostle Paul, we give many thanks for you because you have joined with us to spread the Good News of Jesus. And in the same way, we pray that God continues to perfect His work in your life until He comes for us.

We began October preparing for our annual IBIMI mission retreat which was held the 9th-11th. Dr. Bill Rice preached for us, and we had a wonderful time of spiritual and physical refreshment. We appreciate Paul and Naomi Sondergaard and Living Waters Baptist Church for hosting us and providing a delicious meal.

Sherry and the ladies from church had their second annual fall party (Friendsgiving). It was well attended, the Gospel was given, and they all enjoyed the food and games.

We ended the month with our annual Harvest Dinner.  Pastor Shawn Thompson from Parker, AZ came and preached for us. He is the brother of one of our church members, this was our first time to have him here at HBC.  What a blessing he was to us all!

The month of November began program practices with the children for our upcoming Christmas program.

We are all looking forward to our program on December 21st.  Our church was asked to sing again at the annual tribal Christmas tree lighting. We had a great turnout for that!

Biannually we have a missions conference at HBC. This year we hosted 3 missionary families. We were challenged for missions on the Asian continent. The week was well attended and our missionaries seemed pleased with the response from our congregation.

Thanksgiving week HBC held our annual Testimony and Praise Service. We are always encouraged to hear the testimonies of God’s work in individual lives from the previous year.

November 30 was a “Fifth Sunday” so our youth group took over many of the Sunday School and Worship Service responsibilities. We had a couple new teens helping out this time. Everyone did a great job! We cannot express how heartwarming it is to see our young people prepare to enter into adult jobs within the congregation. We know it is the Lord Who builds His church, and it’s wonderful to see that future taking shape right in front of us!

Thank you again for your investment in this work through your interest, prayers, and financial assistance. God is using you to hold us up and we do not take that lightly. May His rich blessing be upon you this festive time of year as we celebrate His birth and the coming New Year!

For God’s Glory,

the Steve De Ford family
