DeFord Jan 2025

Dear Ministry Partners,

Thank you all so much for helping to make our Christmas ’24 and New Year’s ’25 truly special.

We greatly appreciate the cards and financial gifts. Reading your many Christmas letters helps us reconnect with everyone. The Sunday School classes that wrote to tell us about your regular prayers and seasonal activities help us feel a real connection across the miles.

As many of you know, Hualapai Baptist is primarily a mission work with a strong missions focus. We began December by welcoming Missionary Justin Bushey and his family, who serve in the prisons here in Arizona. Our church family felt led by the Lord to support the Bushey family, and we voted to take them on during our January annual meeting. God has blessed HBC, and our missionary family has grown to 20 members: 8 serving in the US and 12 on the foreign field.

The rest of December was filled with many Christmas activities with the church and community of Peach Springs. The highlight was seeing a young mother come to know Christ as her personal Savior after our Christmas program on December 22. Please pray for Jasmine’s spiritual growth.

During our New Year’s Eve service, we revealed our theme for 2025: “Sow in righteousness, reap in mercy,” based on Hosea 10:12.
The new year finds us back at Peach Springs Elementary School for Good News Club on Wednesdays. We are gradually seeing more students stay for club, and we are very thankful for our faithful volunteers.

In addition to supporting a new missionary family, our annual business meeting showed that 2024 was under budget and well-positioned for 2025. Thank you again for your prayers and financial support in helping us reach the Hualapai Tribe!

For God’s Glory,
The Steve De Ford Family
