| Dear Prayer Partners, Happy Independence Day! We hope you have a wonderful time celebrating and we thank you for taking time to read our letters and pray for us on a regular basis! In May, we were able to take a much-needed break to get spiritually refreshed as a family. Thank you to all those that prayed for us! Auditorium Project The month of June was busy with preparations for renovating our church auditorium. Our auditorium was split by a wall that greatly limited the space. For the past few months, our Native people on Thursday nights have been giving to the building fund offering. We are also incredibly grateful to Victory Baptist Church from Springfield, Ohio, that came to help us do our project and helped with some of the finances to get the job done as well. Now we have a beautiful, spacious place of worship and I believe the Lord is pleased! When we put in some new flooring, the renovation will be complete. Outreach At least one Sunday a month during these warm months, we have taken our Sunday School time in a neighborhood passing out gospel tracts. In June, we had a few of our people go out with us and knock on doors in the east projects of White Earth. We praise the Lord for this opportunity to reach people and to train people to reach people. While the missions team from Ohio was here, they also took a couple of days to help us get the gospel into the south projects and the northwest side of town. Pray that people will get saved and that we will see people come for church services from those areas. We are also preparing for our Vacation Bible School July 24-26! Our emphasis is John 3:16 with a baseball theme, “For God so loved the world…” We will be joined by Crownpoint Baptist Church from Crownpoint, New Mexico, on the Navajo Reservation to help with the outreach. We are excited to have a team of Native Americans coming to help us reach Native Americans in our area. There seems to be good interest from the community already so please pray that many kids and adults will come and be saved at VBS. Pray that we will get many new contacts and many start coming to church services. Family Aliza and Annie finished kindergarten a few weeks ago and we were able to celebrate their accomplishments with a few friends. We were also thrilled to learn this week that the baby on the way is a girl! Please continue to pray for a healthy pregnancy for my wife. Multiple times over the last couple of weeks, we have rejoiced in the Lord’s provision for us. Our van has over 190,000 miles and has had issues around the engine. We began searching the market to buy a newer van but the Lord never gave us peace to move forward with a purchase. The Lord used the missions team from Ohio to connect me to someone they knew who is a mechanic. He was able to identify my van’s problem. It was $31 part and a few guys helped me get it fixed. Praise the Lord we can use our van a little longer! Please continue to pray for our family, the Ojibwe people, and Hope Baptist Church. Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer and financial support! May fruit abound to your account. For the cause of Christ, Marty, Logan Michelle, Aliza, Annie, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Max, and Baby Girl Roembke |
