Messick Feb 2026

“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”  Romans 8:28

Dear Ones in Christ,

2026 has started out with both blessings and challenges.  One huge blessing is the privilege of serving at the small church on the Clarkdale section of our Reservation.  Our dear folk are so faithful in attendance, eager to study God’s Word and fellowship together.

Another blessing is how God is keeping our dear children and their families safe and well, and how they shower us with their love, concern and care.

A couple of challenges that have come our way is that, for a month or so, Bev had not been feeling up to par.  On February 18, she was taken to the hospital, tests were run, and they found she has congestive heart failure.  Kirt’s family lives close enough that He came to be with us during Bev’s stay in the hospital, and his wife, Elida, stayed with us a few days when Bev was released from the hospital.  Jenny so much wanted to be here to help, but it wasn’t possible, as they live in Arkansas, but she has been faithfully checking on us and encouraging us every day.

Then on February 26, Gary learned from his eletrophysiologist that a nuclear stress test he’d had a week earlier revealed that he had blockages in arteries and would need to have a heart catheterization and stents.  We are now waiting for the scheduling of this procedure.

We are thankful for God’s omniscience.  Though Bev and I weren’t aware of these recent health issues, we know it didn’t take God by surprise, and we are thankful we can put our complete trust in our Heavenly Father.

Thank you for your faithful prayer support for the work here.  God bless you
