In May, we traveled to Indiana for my youngest brother\u2019s graduation from Indiana Baptist College. We enjoyed our time visiting family and updating one of our supporting churches. One of our main goals in Indiana was to spend quality time with our sending church family at Crossroads Baptist Church. It was very refreshing to be with our church for a few services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Our sending church just went through a very smooth pastoral transition. After 18 years as pastor of Crossroads Baptist Church, Pastor Guy Solarek is being sent out into evangelism. Our sending church has called John Peterson to be the next pastor. He has served under Pastor Solarek for the last few years. We are greatly appreciative for the impact Pastor and Mrs. Solarek have had on our lives. We are looking forward to seeing our relationship build with our new pastor and his wife.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In June, the White Earth Nation holds its annual Treaty Pow-wow. The pow-wow grounds are right down the road from the church building. The pow-wow kicks-off with a parade that fills the streets with many people. After the parade, we were able to pass out gospel tracts with invites to our church services. We met one lady named Paulette. She was glad to meet us, but she lives on the northeast part of the reservation in the town of Rice Lake, about 45 minutes from White Earth. She told me Rice Lake needs a church, and it does! Pray that we will be able to have a way of contact with her and for a Bible-believing church to be started up there.
On July 17, we are hosting a basketball and volleyball outreach at the park in White Earth. The church that led the outreach last year is coming back to lead the outreach again. Last year, we had seventeen teenagers who came, and the gospel was given to them. Pray that we would have a good group attend this year and pray that someone would get saved!
Our Vacation Bible School is July 27-29. This year we have some folks from our sending church and our Navajo friends from Old Paths Baptist Church in Window Rock, AZ, coming up to help us. We are excited to serve alongside these two soul-winning churches the last week of July! We will be out soul-winning and canvassing for VBS in multiple towns. We are praying for fifty in attendance this year.
Please be praying for our upcoming outreaches so that many will receive the gospel and be saved. Pray that we would have fruit that would remain! Pray that we would start seeing people attend our services.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We are looking into getting a church sign on our property to help people see what time we meet. I would prefer to have a simple homemade sign put out by the road. If anyone has any suggestions or would like to come up and help me build one, please feel free to reach out to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
