June 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Dear Friends in Christ,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;What a delight to sleep in your own bed!&nbsp;&nbsp;The first Alaska trip is now history.&nbsp;&nbsp;Traveling was a bit of a challenge as flights were changed-but all came together and worked out.&nbsp;&nbsp;Good to know Who is really in control!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;We had 3 teen boys from Flagstaff, and one of their fathers that went on this first trip.&nbsp;&nbsp;They all worked hard and much was accomplished in preparation for the work crew coming in late July-early August.&nbsp;&nbsp;The second crew is from a church in N.C.&nbsp;&nbsp;This volunteer crew have helped the past 3 years and have been a great help.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Many of them are professionals so they know what is needed to be done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;This second trip will be driving to Bellingham, WA to catch the ferry to Ketchikan and then another ferry to Prince of Wales Island and then drive to Thorne Bay.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;No airlines this time, so we can transport equipment and supplies in the back of the truck.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please&nbsp;<strong>pray<\/strong>&nbsp;for safety in travel and to make the scheduled connections-both for Sam, as well as the work crew coming across country from N.C.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>Pray<\/strong>&nbsp;also for safety as they work, and much to be accomplished this summer so we can soon see the radio station broadcasting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Thank you for&nbsp;<strong>praying&nbsp;<\/strong>with us for this ministry.&nbsp;&nbsp;We are thankful for the lumber that was supplied this last trip.&nbsp;&nbsp;It was in good shape.&nbsp;&nbsp;Some was donated and the rest was very affordable and within our budget.&nbsp;&nbsp;Please continue to&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>pray<\/strong>&nbsp;for:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;-for the electric company to&nbsp;&nbsp;put in a pole so generator power will not be needed&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(<em>This will greatly increase the time we can be on the air<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;-for the future missionary to man the station<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;(<em>We are not yet ready for this man, but still need to pray as God prepares him for this&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;position, even now.<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Also-thank you for&nbsp;<strong>praying<\/strong>&nbsp;for Janet while Sam was away.&nbsp;&nbsp;The trip to Page, AZ, to speak at a bridal shower,&nbsp;&nbsp;went well&nbsp;&nbsp;and for safety during the travel.&nbsp;&nbsp;God even provided a Christian friend to make the trip with her for the 4 \u00bd hr. round- trip.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;She also had the monthly Bible Reading time at a local adult residential home here in Flagstaff.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;These residents have memory difficulties, so it is a challenge to choose Bible passages and hymns that they might remember from the past to encourage and comfort them during this difficult period of life that they are experiencing.&nbsp;&nbsp;Again- thank you for your&nbsp;<strong>prayers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;In a couple of weeks, before the second trip to Alaska, Sam will be teaching the English sessions&nbsp;at the annual Navajo Family Bible Camp, here in Flagstaff.&nbsp;&nbsp;A Navajo man, Cliff Hyden, will finish out the week, allowing Sam&nbsp;&nbsp;a few days for the drive to Washington to catch the ferry.&nbsp;&nbsp;Do&nbsp;&nbsp;<strong>pray<\/strong>&nbsp;with us for this man, as well as, Willie Tsosie, the man that will be teaching in the Navajo sessions.&nbsp;&nbsp;(<em>They are both former Bible students of Sam\u2019s and we are so pleased to see them being used by God in this way.<\/em>)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Thank you to each of you for your&nbsp;<strong>prayers&nbsp;<\/strong>and help in our ministry.&nbsp;&nbsp;You are very much needed!&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>II Cor. 2:11&nbsp;<em>\u201cYe also helping together by prayer for
