Dear Family and Friends:
\n\u201cTis so sweet to trust in Jesus, just to take Him at His Word!\u201d This past year,\nGod\u2019s people have been tested to see where we put our trust. Thinking of recent\nevents, it is almost as if God is prying our hands off what we often trust: health,\nfreedom, our finances. One by one it is as if God is asking, \u201cDo you love Me more\nthan these?\u201d Would you be content if all you had was your walk with God? Are\nyou holding onto the Lord as tightly as other things? I am thankful for God\u2019s\npromise: \u201cFor God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love,\nand of a sound mind\u201d 2Tim 1:7. Recently someone shared with me the verse,\nIsaiah 26:3 \u2013 \u201cThou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee:\nbecause he trusteth in thee\u201d. No wonder many of God\u2019s people do not experience\nperfect peace: their mind is not stayed on the Lord.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here at Living Waters Baptist Church, God continues to give opportunities to\nencourage these people. Many of our people have lost loved ones or face\ndiscouraging physical and spiritual needs. We look to God for the right words to\nencourage and point them to Christ. Martha: grieving the loss of her husband.\nCyrus: losing his grandma and his mother having health needs. He is questioning\nwhy God allows it and is struggling with depression. Rachel: physical needs and\nher son\u2019s spiritual needs. Bob: wife just died. Please pray for\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
wisdom in ministering to this family. Lynn: facing\nhealth\/spiritual needs.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In recent months, we have seen strong attendance to the\nservices. We are encouraged to see a desire to be in church.\nPaul has been able to invite several of his coworkers to church.\nSeveral express a desire to come although their work schedule\noften prevents it.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As a church we are supporting one missionary to Mexico and\nanother to Native Americans. This year the church chose to\nraise their monthly support. A missionary to Israel just came\nand presented the ministry as well. We are excited to see the\npeople grow in faith as they take part in missions.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Family praises:
\n\u2022 We have seen God answer prayer for Paul\u2019s mom in giving her\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
strength and healing. She is doing so much better, and we are\nthankful for what God has done in her life.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Andrew has received two pieces of equipment that is helping\nin his mobility. His wheelchair helps him sit up in church and\nhelps when we go places. His stander helps develop his bones and\nshould limit improper hip alignment. Andrew is now beginning to\ncrawl and pull himself up on things. He is now almost 21\u20442. Every\nday he is doing things that never seemed possible. His smiles are\nsweet, and he brings much joy to our home.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 In January, we attended the wedding for one of Paul\u2019s brothers. It was a blessing to be part of a Christ-honoring wedding that was testimony to several unsaved people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
