\nDear Friends in Christ,<\/p>\n
The first class of the Bible Institute was started this month.\u00a0 The pastor who was organizing this was healing from surgery on a detached retina, so we started a couple of weeks later than we had hoped, but definitely in God\u2019s timing.\u00a0 The first class had 11 students with a few more that are registered and we hope will join as the program progresses.\u00a0 Each class is a total of 15 weeks, once a week.\u00a0 Sam is teaching the class of Doctrine of Theology.\u00a0 Please pray for the students to be faithful in attendance and study.<\/p>\n
We do have a substitute teacher for these classes for when Sam will be unavailable.\u00a0 Marlin G. was saved during our years of ministry in Tuba City and a student of the men\u2019s Bible Classes taught there.\u00a0 He then went on to attend and graduate from the Indian Bible College in Flagstaff.\u00a0 It is an encouragement to see the next generation preparing to keep the ministry of God\u2019s Word going.<\/p>\n
As many of you know, fall time is hunting time for us.\u00a0 Sam will be traveling to British Columbia to hunt with a group from the Tahltan (\u201ctall-tan\u201d) tribe in hopes of getting a stone sheep.\u00a0 He will be home for a couple of days and then be packing up for our fall hunt camp.\u00a0 This year we have 5 hunters from one family coming; father, 2 sons and 2 sons-in-law.\u00a0 Pray for safety in travel and during the hunt, good weather (early snows are not uncommon) and especially for the evening Bible studies.\u00a0 We are going to be studying the book of I Thessalonians this year.<\/p>\n
Some have asked how Janet\u2019s foot is doing.\u00a0 She is making good progress but is impatient that the healing isn\u2019t complete, though she has been told that it will take 6 months to a year for complete return to \u201cnormal\u201d.\u00a0 There is still a slight limp, but she is walking without assistance.\u00a0 Thank you for your prayers in this matter.<\/p>\n
